Dietary Assistant- Med/Surg
About The Position
The Dietary Assistant is responsible for the day-to-day nutrition of meals for the hospital population including visitors and guests. This includes the provision of special diets, restrictions and meals prescribed by the dietitian or therapists. Elizabethtown Community Hospital (ECH) is part of The University of Vermont Health Network, a six-hospital network serving patients and their families in northern New York and Vermont. Requirements
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Must be able to exercise sound judgement.
- Ability to relate to peers and supervisors in a friendly and respectful manner.
- Must have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and written.
- Experience in food service and quantity cooking.
- Working knowledge of safe food handling practices.
- Ability to complete records and reports.
- Graduate of high school or equivalent.
