About The Position
The Dietary Assistant is responsible for the day-to-day nutrition of meals for the hospital population including visitors and guests. This includes the provision of special diets, restrictions and meals prescribed by the dietitian or therapists.
Requirements
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Must be able to exercise sound judgement.
- Ability to relate to peers and supervisors in a friendly and respectful manner.
- Must have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and written.
- Experience in food service and quantity cooking.
- Working knowledge of safe food handling practices.
- Ability to complete records and reports.
- Graduate of high school or equivalent.
