About The Position

Grow your career with a team that shares your desire to make a difference Sodexo is seeking Part-Time Registered Dietitian to provide nutrition care at SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital which is a 431-bed acute care hospital and the academic teaching hospital for Saint Louis University in St. Louis, MO. Position will work ~ 24 hours per week with excellent benefits and abillity to work additional hours as needed. Requirements

  • Be able to be flexible, a team player, and possess good time management skills
  • Be a Registered Dietitian and have Missouri licensure
  • Minimum Education Requirement: Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
  • For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
  • Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
  • Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
  • Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

  • Provide coverage of various acute care units including ICU, oncology, geriatric, surgery, medical, cardiology, and gastrointestinal
  • Provide medical nutrition therapy including enteral and parenteral nutrition support
  • Be able to develop strong rapport with the nursing and medical staff to provide exemplary care to patients, staff and community
  • Work with dietetic interns from Saint Louis University for acute care clinical training
  • Participate in patient satisfaction and quality improvement projects
