Our San Diego, CA team is looking for a Digital Marketing Associate to work closely with the Marketing team to support the overall marketing strategy focusing primarily on managing the digital assets and paid and unpaid digital programs for Wealth Enhancement Group. The Digital Marketing Associate's primary objectives are: (1) execute paid digital media campaigns and analytics, (2) drive organic website traffic using SEO tactics, (3) optimize website to increase conversion and improve user engagement, (4) prepare regular reporting on digital results, and (5) provide general marketing support. This is an on-site position; zip code 92121. In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the pay range for this position is $30.00/hr to $35.00/hr (approximately $63,000.00 to $73,000.00 annually) , exclusive of bonuses and benefits. Requirements

  • Four-year degree (or equivalent experience) in marketing or related field
  • 3-5 years of digital marketing experience paid and unpaid
  • Proven SEM experience managing PPC campaigns across Google, Yahoo and Bing
  • Google Ads certified, or ability to obtain preferred
  • Experience with A/B testing and multivariate experiments
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Salesforce and Salesforce Marketing Cloud preferred
  • Solid understanding of performance marketing, conversion and online customer acquisition
  • Ability to develop recommendations from sets of data and oriented towards continuous improvement
  • Functional understanding of HTML, CSS and SQL
  • Ability to work with back-end SEO elements such as metadata, site speed optimization and related skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Good problem-solving skills, willingness to dig into issues and present possible creative solutions
  • Ability to be flexible and to collaborate as part of a growing, cross-functional team
  • This position requires the ability to stand or sit for long periods of time, file documents in high or low cabinets, to use the telephone and to use the computer systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience running, optimizing, and analyzing paid digital ad campaigns (Google Ads, paid social, display, or similar platforms)
  • Experience using HubSpot for campaign management, workflows, reporting, or CRM integration (or strong interest in becoming proficient)
  • Interest in using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, no-code/low-code tools) to write simple scripts, automate workflows, and accelerate analysis and campaign execution (programming expertise not required; curiosity and willingness to learn is)
  • Comfort working with data sets, dashboards, and performance metrics, and translating data into actionable marketing insights
  • Exposure to basic automation, APIs, or workflow tools (Zapier, Make, HubSpot workflows, Google Sheets automation, etc.) is a plus
  • Enjoys experimenting, testing, and iterating—this role rewards people who like optimizing systems, not just executing tasks

Responsibilities

  • Execute paid digital media campaigns and analytics
  • Day-to-day implementation of media buying, production management and results reporting and optimization of Wealth Enhancement Group’s paid search marketing, online display, remarketing, social media and other emerging online marketing channels
  • Use paid media strategies to identify digital targets and effectively manage and scale media spend to build contact database in new markets and continue to database growth in established markets
  • Deploy SEM best practices across accounts, campaigns, and devices and proactively stay current on industry trends and tools
  • Manage project schedules, costs and P&Ls in our CRM and other software systems
  • Serve as day-to-day contact person with digital agency to execute marketing plans
  • Collaborate with other members of the Marketing team to ensure cohesive cross-channel campaign management and hand-offs
  • Drive organic website traffic using SEO tactics
  • Maintain and optimize website content, including resource library, using SEO best practices
  • Support content creation by conducting keyword research and providing content ideas or suggested changes
  • Partner with Marketing team and other business units to ensure contact info and bios are up-to-date and work closely with internal sales marketing team to ensure a smooth transition of digital assets for new office acquisitions
  • Conduct annual audit of evergreen content
  • Optimize website to increase conversion and improve user engagement
  • Perform regular website analytics and share findings with appropriate parties to improve site performance
  • Partner with internal Content & Brand and New Client teams to improve user experience and ensure optimal long-term results
  • Serve as primary point of contact for agency supporting web development (including design, UX changes and maintenance), and maintain prioritized project list for website updates and changes
  • Prepare regular reporting on digital results
  • Prepare regular results reports for management to report of overall effectiveness of digital marketing
  • Recommend and conduct A/B testing on search campaigns and landing pages and other top-of-funnel content
  • Prepare marketing campaign data; effectively and regularly communicate findings to enable informed strategic decisions on marketing allocation across all digital marketing channels
  • Partner with internal Corporate Analytics and New Client teams to ensure accurate and timely results
  • Help Marketing Communications to execute “all department” activities
  • Act as a digital resource as needed
