EveryMind is hiring a Director to join our Case Management Services team. The Director provides strategic leadership and oversight for the Case Management Services department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care coordination/management services. This role oversees service delivery for various target populations including those experiencing housing instability or living unsheltered and the military and veteran community. Director supports staff through training and guidance, fosters community partnerships to enhance service delivery and growth, and ensures services are responsive to evolving community needs. Requirements

  • Strong Personal Resilience and Mental Health: Given the high-stress nature of the role, it is essential that candidates possess a high level of personal resilience and maintain stable mental health. This ensures that they are well-equipped to provide effective support and maintain the professional standards required for client care.
  • Bachelor’s degree in mental health, social work, counseling, or human services required. Master’s degree strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of leadership and management experience, including leadership within or of a program/department.
  • A minimum of 5 years working in human or social services.
  • Minimum of 5 years working with individuals with mental illness, experiencing homelessness, housing instability, and/or military and veteran community.
  • At least 3 years of experience directly supervising managers and leaders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage with staff, management, and external partners.
  • Knowledge of best practices on care management, homelessness and/or housing instability, military and veteran services.
  • Knowledge of data tracking, utilizing the data for services and to inform decision-making.
  • Ability to identify gaps in service delivery with demonstrated skills to design and implement solutions.
  • Analytical skills in complex problem-solving, judgement, and critical thinking.
  • Experienced in presenting problems and strategic solutions to leadership team.
  • Fundamentals of supervision, decision-making, solutions of unexpected situations, knowledge, and management.
  • Strong training/presentation and public-speaking skills.
  • Comfortable with forecasting methods and tools and MS Office Suite.
  • Effectively interact and work collaboratively in a flexible work environment with a variety of constituents including clients and family members or caretakers, interns, volunteers, paid staff, CEO, board members, and community partners.
  • Ability to express ideas with clarity, confidence and sensitivity.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality involving clients in accordance with organizational and federal guidelines.
  • The employee must pass a criminal background check.
  • Certain job functions may require employee to pass a child sexual abuse and other criminal activity as well as a credit check.
  • All staff providing services to staff or clients, must be free of illegal drugs and abuse of alcohol, and must be fully able to always perform all required duties.
  • The employee must be available to perform the duties of the job during most, but not limited to core business hours (between 9 – 5pm, Monday – Friday), some flexibility with schedule may be available (evening and/or weekend hours).
  • Employees will work mostly on-site but may work some hours remotely with the approval of supervisor.
  • The employee is also required to travel to different locations. Therefore, the employee must have access to reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic vision and growth, implementation, and sustainability of the Case Management Services department, which includes various grants and contracts. Ensure effective service delivery to meet scope/deliverables, professional standards, and best practices, and aligned with the organization’s strategic priorities.
  • Oversee process to determine, track, and report on appropriate metrics for evaluation of progress toward strategic goals. Collaborate with leadership across EveryMind to provide ongoing analysis of and recommendations to improve service delivery performance and impact.
  • Supervise and support Case Management Services management team. Provide coaching, professional development, and strategic direction to ensure effective leadership across department. Provide indirect supervision to other staff, interns, and volunteers.
  • Lead evaluation and quality improvement efforts for Case Management Services, using data and outcomes to inform service delivery and strategic decisions. Ensure compliance with all contracts, grants, and reporting requirements and deadlines.
  • Develop, manage, and oversee the budget for Case Management Services, ensuring sounds business and financial controls. Monitor financial performance and adjust strategies to maintain sustainability and responsiveness to shifts in funding or service delivery needs.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of a sustainable staffing structure for Case Management Services and effectively manage growth of the department.
  • Remain informed of evidence-based and other best practices in the field of case management services, target populations served, and mental health and wellness, and integrate them into service delivery. Maintain strong knowledge base as subject matter expert.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain protocols, policies, and procedures to ensure safe, effective, and equitable service delivery. Provide oversight handling crises and ensure protocols are in place to mitigate risks and ensure client and staff safety.
  • Oversee documentation standards, audits, and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations as well as ethical and licensing (if applicable) standards.
  • Represent EveryMind and Case Management Services department on government and provider-led coalitions, working groups, and committees to ensure service delivery needs are elevated and addressed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
