Job Description: This job is responsible for supporting their desk by providing input and analysis on macroeconomic markets by conducting complex modeling projects for specific business units or risk types. Key responsibilities include distributing factual summaries and trade ideas to drive business strategy and leading the planning related to setting quantitative work priorities in line with the Bank’s overall strategy. Job expectations include collaborating across regions and product lines to ensure consistency throughout the platform and managing and developing junior quantitative analysts.

Responsibilities

  • Performs end-to-end market risk stress testing including scenario design, scenario implementation, results consolidation, internal and external reporting, and analyzes stress scenario results to further understand key drivers
  • Identifies continuous improvements through reviews of approval decisions on relevant model development or model validation tasks, provides critical feedback on technical documentation, and challenges on model development/validation in an effective manner
  • Works closely with model stakeholders and senior management with regard to communication of submission and validation outcomes
  • Engages with technology, sales, trading, and product management to support a comprehensive effort towards improving algorithm functionality and performance
  • Participates in a collaborative manner with broader quantitative research activities throughout the team and organization
