About The Position

Role summary: The (USA) Director, Finance leads long-term financial planning and forecasting by collaborating across departments to align corporate goals with financial targets and risk assessments. This role drives business performance analysis, supports budgeting processes, and enhances financial reporting transparency. The Director provides strategic insights through complex financial modeling and communicates key findings to senior leadership. Additionally, this position oversees control structures to mitigate risks and fosters continuous improvement in financial operations. By guiding resource allocation and operational strategies, the Director ensures sound financial management that supports sustainable business growth and organizational objectives. About the team: The End-to-End Central Financial Planning & Analysis (E2E FP&A) team performs the critical function of consolidation, reporting, and executive storytelling to the SVP, Head of E2E Finance and their Finance VP direct reports. The role includes overseeing three direct reports.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in financial strategy, planning, and management within complex organizations.
  • Proven ability to develop and communicate financial plans aligned with corporate goals.
  • Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis to support business decisions.
  • Strong skills in analyzing financial statements, budgets, and operational processes to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Demonstrated capability to manage risk and ensure compliance with financial controls and reporting standards.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with senior leadership to drive business performance and financial transparency.
  • Ability to lead and develop high-performing teams while fostering a culture of integrity and accountability.
  • An ability to quickly adapt to change and shifting priorities
  • Experience communicating with senior leaders
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and 5 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or relevant area OR 7 years’ experience i n accounting, finance, or related area.
  • 2 years’ supervisory experience.
  • 2 years’ experience leading and completing cross-functional projects.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior management to analyze business performance, identify gaps, and provide insights
  • Oversee financial consolidation, ensuring accuracy and resolving timing issues with operational teams.
  • Drive business strategy by analyzing costs, forecasts, and operational processes to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Coordinate and consolidate E2E finance’s annual operating plan and long range plan, including the build and execution of AOP and LRP decks
  • Become a thought leader and evangelist for process improvement, transformation, and AI across E2E finance
  • Collaborate across Store Ops, Supply Chain, & Real Estate FP&A teams.
  • Build strong relationship with partners in Merchandise and Segment finance, and develop trust with VPs/SVPs across Walmart US.

  • The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00
  • Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
