About The Position

We are currently recruiting for a Director, Global Facilities Integration. This position is responsible for leading and executing facility integration activities related to mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and significant business transformations worldwide. The Director will represent real estate, facilities management, construction, and physical security functions across regions, ensuring smooth site transitions, operational continuity, and adherence to Medtronic standards. Serving as the primary integration lead for the Enterprise Risk and Facilities organization, this role collaborates with Corporate Development, Finance, Legal, IT, HR, and regional business leaders from due diligence through post-close execution. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Real Estate, Construction Management, Business, or related field.
  • 10 years of progressive experience in facilities, real estate, construction, or infrastructure roles, with 7+ years of managerial experience; OR an Advanced Degree with 8 years of progressive experience in facilities, real estate, construction, or infrastructure roles, with 7+ years of managerial experience
  • Experience operating across multiple geographies and cultures.
  • Must maintain a current and valid Passport, with the ability to travel internationally up to 30%.

  • Advanced degree (MBA, MS, or equivalent).
  • Experience in medical technology, life sciences, manufacturing, or highly regulated industries.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting global M&A, integrations, divestitures, or large-scale site transitions.

Responsibilities

  • Facilities Integration Leadership Lead global facilities, real estate, construction, and physical security integration activities for assigned mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and divestitures. Represent Facilities as part of the Integration Management Office (IMO), coordinating regional deliverables, milestones, and dependencies. Translate transaction objectives into executable global and site-level facilities integration plans.
  • Site-Level Integration & Exit Planning Ensure every in-scope site globally has a documented and approved integration or exit plan. Define site-specific strategies including integrate and retain, consolidate or relocate, transition services, or exit/divest. Coordinate regional timelines and execution sequencing to support business continuity. Track progress and elevate site-level risks, constraints, and decision requirements.
  • Due Diligence & Operational Assessment Support pre-close facilities due diligence globally in partnership with Corporate Development and Legal. Assess real estate portfolios, facilities condition, capital exposure, and physical security readiness. Develop cost estimates, transition assumptions, and execution risks to inform deal decisions.
  • Real Estate & Facilities Execution Execute integration activities aligned with Medtronic global real estate, facilities, and physical security standards. Support footprint optimization initiatives including consolidations, lease exits, and site transitions. Coordinate onboarding of acquired sites into Medtronic operating and service models.
  • Construction & Capital Project Coordination Lead and coordinate integration-related capital projects across regions, including renovations, reconfigurations, and compliance upgrades. Ensure adherence to governance, financial controls, and schedule commitments.
  • Vendor & Financial Coordination Assess facilities and security service contracts. Support vendor transitions, consolidations, or terminations. Manage assigned integration budgets and track costs against approved plans.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Communication Act as the primary global point of contact for facilities integration matters on assigned transactions. Provide clear updates to leadership on site status, risks, and execution progress. Influence outcomes through collaboration across regions and functions.
