About The Position

Pelican is seeking a Director, Global SAP to own and shape the future of our global ERP landscape. Reporting directly to the CIO, this role provides enterprise-wide leadership for SAP across Sales, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Finance. You’ll have full accountability for SAP strategy, delivery, and performance—while leading the organization through its next major evolution, including preparation for S/4HANA. This is a high-visibility role with real influence, global scope, and the opportunity to modernize how the business runs at scale.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • 10+ years of SAP experience in a manufacturing-centric environment.
  • Strong functional expertise in SAP ECC SD, PP, and MM, with deep understanding of Sales and Manufacturing processes.
  • Proven experience leading SAP solutions across multiple modules and business functions.
  • Experience managing global or multi-site SAP environments, including coordination of onsite functional leads and offshore teams.
  • Ability to operate effectively at both strategic and execution levels, translating business needs into SAP direction and results.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated readiness to assume enterprise-wide and global SAP leadership responsibility

Responsibilities

  • Own the global SAP application environment (SD, MM, PP, FI/CO) with end-to-end accountability for strategy, execution, and outcomes
  • Serve as the primary SAP leader for executive stakeholders, partnering closely with the CIO and senior leaders across the business
  • Set enterprise SAP direction for a global manufacturing organization serving Consumer, Commercial, and Government markets
  • Lead a distributed SAP team of onshore functional leaders and offshore delivery partners, driving clarity, accountability, and performance
  • Partner with Sales, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Finance to optimize and standardize core processes (Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Plan-to-Produce)
  • Define and enforce SAP governance, including solution design standards, change control, testing, and release management
  • Own SAP vendor and systems integrator relationships, including future vendor strategy and selection
  • Ensure SAP solutions meet internal controls, audit, and regulatory requirements
  • Act as the senior escalation point for SAP issues impacting operations, customer delivery, or financial performance
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure and Security leaders while retaining ownership of SAP functional outcomes
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
