The Role The Director, HR Business Partner is a senior-level individual contributor who serves as the primary people partner to assigned enterprise business units. This position operates as a highly strategic advisor, system integrator, and transformation partner, shaping how leaders build capability, drive performance, manage talent, and lead change. This role operates as enterprise connector, bringing real-time business intelligence, workforce insights, and leadership challenges forward to deliver business value.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10+ years of progressive HR Business Partner experience.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with and influencing senior executives and leaders.
  • Strong background in talent, workforce planning, performance management, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Experience operating in complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Enterprise & Strategic Thinking: A systems perspective combined with strong business/financial acumen and long-term workforce planning skills.
  • Consulting & Influence: Executive presence, deep diagnostic capability, and a trusted advisor mindset that allows you to act as a change champion.
  • Integration & Execution: An ability to drive program alignment and change management with an enterprise-level portfolio mindset.
  • Judgment & Ethics: High integrity, sound decision-making, and the ability to balance accountability with empathy.
  • Client Relationship: Owns the client relationship, diagnoses unique strategic needs, and is accountable for the overall People outcomes in their BU.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Business Partnership: Serve as the primary people strategy advisor to senior leaders on organizational strategy, leadership capability, performance, culture, and transformation, translating business priorities into integrated people solutions.
  • Enterprise Integration: Act as a core member of the People Strategy, Performance, and Experience function, representing assigned business units by elevating critical insights, sharing best practices, and informing enterprise prioritization.
  • Matrixed Leader: Leads and mentors assigned People Consultant, through a strong matrixed reporting relationship in partnership with the Sr. Senior Director, People Strategy and Transformation, collaborating on priority areas that support the business.
  • Talent, Performance & Leadership Enablement: Facilitate and lead the execution of enterprise talent systems, including performance management, talent reviews, succession planning, and pay-for-performance processes, while coaching leaders on fair and differentiated talent decisions.
  • Workforce Insights & Risk Integration: Partner with People Analytics to identify engagement trends, retention risks, and performance trends, translating insights into preventive action plans.
  • Inclusion & Belonging: Partner with leaders to cultivate an inclusive team culture, leveraging data to identify and address systemic barriers and championing I&B initiatives within assigned business units.
