About The Position

As a Director of Learning & Development, you’ll play a key role in designing, delivering, and operationalizing learning programs that build skills, strengthen leadership capabilities, and support Best Buy’s strategic priorities. You will help cultivate a culture of continuous learning by translating enterprise learning strategy into actionable, scalable programs that improve employee performance and enable business outcomes.

Requirements

  • 7 years of experience in learning and development, human resources, organizational development, sales enablement, or change management
  • 3 years of people leadership experience, leading teams or large-scale projects in a matrixed environment
  • 3 years of experience managing cross-functional stakeholders to deliver business outcomes
  • Experience translating strategy into scalable learning programs or solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and drive outcomes in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years of experience in learning strategy, program design, or talent development
  • Experience facilitating or teaching in virtual and in-person environments
  • Ability to leverage data and analytics to inform program design, measure impact, and refine learning experiences
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to connect learning solutions to business needs

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business leaders and HR to understand capability needs and translate them into actionable learning solutions and experiences.
  • Design and implement learning programs that align with enterprise priorities and support organizational performance goals.
  • Operationalize learning strategy by shaping program plans, roadmaps, and content development approaches in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Define and track program-level learning metrics, using data and insights to measure effectiveness and shape continuous improvement.
  • Manage and maintain learning governance processes, ensuring effective prioritization and execution of learning initiatives.
  • Build and sustain partnerships with internal stakeholders and external vendors to deliver high-quality learning content and solutions.
  • Lead and develop a team responsible for program design, delivery, and measurement across assigned business areas.
