About The Position

The Director of Clinical Operations is a key leader who will advance this mission and support clinical procurement and placement for our university partnerships. This role oversees EIM’s national portfolio of collaborative clinical education experiences across multiple healthcare disciplines. Responsibilities include ensuring the success, retention, and revenue of Clinical Operations, maintaining strong communication with Managing Directors, senior leadership, university partners, and internal operations teams, including leading clinical operations associate directors, managers and staff. Candidates interested in this role should be well‑versed in site procurement, compliance, clinical education operations, curriculum, and discipline‑specific clinical requirements. The role requires strategic leadership, commitment to positive team culture, and serving as the escalation point for Clinical Operations, representing the function in business improvements and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • Master's degree required/MBA Preferred.
  • Demonstrated successful leadership in people operations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a diversified work environment with varying levels of ambiguity.
  • Ability to work independently and lead projects, establish and maintain effective working relationships with senior management and key external relationships.
  • Track record of working under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities.
  • Highly self-motivated and able to work autonomously.

Nice To Haves

  • 5-7 years’ experience in the Higher Education and/or Healthcare industry.
  • 3 years’ experience directly managing employees, with a focus on professional development.
  • Experience using Salesforce, Student Information Systems or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direction and oversight for the Clinical Operations team including ensuring scalability, timely hiring, and performance management.
  • Experience partnering with, and influencing, senior leadership on healthcare programs strategy and hiring initiatives.
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.
  • Create scalable clinical education systems and processes across healthcare disciplines
  • Assist in onboarding new Program Directors to EIM Clinical Operations and supports the search committee in identifying new partner clinical education roles.
  • Support placement management in hosting multi-day onsite meetings for partner onboarding and strategic planning for clinical education timeline building.
  • Assists with initial accreditation and self-study narrative writing and/or review. Oversees collection and distribution of documentation required to support accreditation narratives.
  • Ensure the success of Letter of Intent (LOI) collection and clinical site procurement that supports regional and discipline specific accreditation requirements and programmatic goals.
  • Provides regular reporting data on procurement, data management, and placement activities to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain a systematic but customizable process for clinical site procurement, student placements, and data management across partner programs.
  • Coordinate all operational activities and functions related to clinical placements and procurement in collaboration with clinical education faculty and staff.
  • Promote and support collaboration and teamwork among clinical education faculty/staff and EIM support staff.
  • Ability to think critically and identify potential issues in operations, systems and cross-functional communications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Assist with writing policies and procedures related to clinical placement, data management, site procurement, and student tracking/outcomes.
  • Review and evaluate the clinical placement/procurement goals and outcomes in collaboration with clinical education faculty and staff.
  • Develop cadences and ensure success of regular clinical team reporting meetings across all partner programs.
  • Collaborate with EIM’s Post-Professional business development team to increase utilization of established clinical sites across all settings (i.e., inpatient, outpatient, etc.) and optimize clinical placement in sites that offer Residency/Certification opportunities upon graduation consistent with EIM’s “Student to Specialist” strategy as appropriate.
  • Relationship maintenance and pitch of EIM Clinical Education services to Pro Partner and Confluent Health partners.
  • Oversee creation and maximize available resources for clinical education processes.
  • Develop, prepare, and analyze budgeting for clinical education and technology.
