About The Position

You are a marketing-minded strategic leader, excited to push creative to its peak performance. You’re both performance-driven (comfortable digging into Meta analytics, forming insights from performance, etc.) and passionate about developing best-in-class creative. Creative is one of the biggest growth drivers and as the Director of Creative Performance, you’ll have the opportunity to work closely with senior execs to shape the performance engine — from paid media, email, DTC, Amazon, to broader omnichannel growth. You’ll work at the intersection of data and creative, translating insights into stronger concepts & performance, and deliver clear feedback that improves media results and drives business growth. You’ll also partner closely with senior leaders to lead key initiatives that elevate creative performance against core KPIs. You’ll lead and develop a team of creative strategists, partner with designers and copywriters, and collaborate cross-functionally to build creative that consistently performs. The ideal candidate is excited by the challenge of turning insights into winning creative, making a measurable business impact, leading with an empathetic approach and communicating effectively across teams and leadership.

Requirements

  • 6–11+ years of experience in performance marketing, preferably at a direct response eCommerce CPG company or performance marketing agency.
  • Strong understanding of paid media, performance analytics, and A/B testing.
  • Growth marketer mindset with experience optimizing creative across paid ads, email, ecommerce, and broader omnichannel marketing.
  • Strong critical thinker who can provide clear, impactful feedback and help drive creative decisions grounded in insights, data, and marketing expertise.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to accelerate creative ideation, production, and testing to unlock stronger performing ad creative.
  • 4+ years of leadership experience managing & motivating creative teams
  • Bachelor’s degree and equivalent work experience.
  • Analytical and creatively minded, able to bridge the gap between marketing and creative teams to produce high-performing creative.
  • Flexible with change and feedback; a proactive problem solver.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • Curious, thoughtful, and self-reflective with a willingness to learn and grow.
  • Collaborative team player who is organized, hardworking, and goal-oriented.
  • Excited by startups and building things from the ground up.
  • Adaptable to new AI technologies and the ever-evolving digital landscape.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of analytics tools such as Google Analytics + Excel
  • Experience in e-commerce, consumer retail and/or digital marketing is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Creative Performance Optimize creative across all marketing channels, using data and analytics to drive improvements while staying true to the brand identity.
  • Use your deep understanding of direct response metrics to partner closely with acquisition and marketing teams, forming creative insights and innovating on new ideas.
  • Bring strong creative strategy experience with a marketing-driven approach, optimizing creative to drive meaningful results (i.e. sales, stronger CPAs, and overall media performance).
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Strategy teams to track learnings from campaign performance and develop creative solutions that continuously improve sales & click-through rates.
  • Process & People Leadership Lead and motivate a growing team of creative strategists with an empathetic approach, partnering closely with designers, copywriters, and stakeholders across the business with the ambitious goal of making creative that performs.
  • Maintain and improve existing processes, manage resourcing and project deliverables, and ensure work moves forward efficiently even under tight deadlines.
  • Communicate clearly and build strong relationships across teams to foster trust and create the best work possible.
