About The Position

The RUDIS Director of eCommerce will be responsible for scaling the eCommerce business while delivering differentiated, innovative consumer experiences that will impact all channels of business. Reporting to the COO this role will lead a team that includes Creative Marketing, Digital Operations, Site Content, IT and Merchandising and will be responsible for driving significant sales growth. The Director of eCommerce will also drive the front-end platform and will be responsible for driving incremental sales growth and customer acquisition/retention via new products, categories and emerging international expansion.

Requirements

  • Education/Experience: College Degree required. 7-10+ years relevant experience, preferably in the sportswear/fashion industry
  • Technical Skills: Significant track record in running a successful eCommerce business and experience in eCommerce and Digital strategy.
  • Proven people leader with the ability to inspire, lead, motivate & develop and build diverse teams at all levels.
  • Can work with IT teams on fast-moving digital and technology best practices to ensure the optimal technology roadmap and investments.
  • Deep understanding of digital analytics with the ability to build digital dashboards to allow for timely analysis and fast changes based on changing data.
  • High energy, digital and customer obsessed leader who thrives working in a fast paced and evolving organization; someone who enjoys test and play.
  • Strategic and creative thinker with strong business acumen.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop effective and collaborative relationships across the organization and influence others in pursuit of corporate goals.
  • Hands-on executive who enjoys managing a high-performance team & an eCommerce P&L
  • Ability to draw actionable conclusions from data and present complex results in consumable, efficient formats.
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Comfortable creating a strategy on Monday having it approved on Wednesday and implemented by Friday with the scrappiness and influence skills to bring others along.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with new and emerging Technology to leverage technology and a long term strategy for current and future financial year objectives.
  • Manage being close to the day-to-day business performance while in parallel evaluating the needs for process and resource efficiencies to improve future business performance.
  • Ensure the eCommerce business provides consumers with a seamless digital experience with a mobile first mindset
  • Strategically and profitably drive the penetration of digital sales growth
  • Forecast digital sales and provide timely information for accurate sales forecasting
  • Influence the fulfillment and returns handling aspects of the eCommerce business for a best-in-class experience.
  • Be instrumental in creating a world-class customer service experience
  • Develop and drive an innovative, robust, forward-thinking, and integrated digital strategy.
  • Manage the eCommerce P&L and develop innovative plans to deliver the annual financial plans (sales, margin, contribution, and turns).
  • Continuously seek opportunities and tools to enhance and fuel the growth of the digital business.
  • Champion the role of digital for B2C
  • Participate in the evaluation of the current platform and technical solutions supporting current website and app channels and provide input to recommended strategy and solutions.
  • Partner with finance to drive digital analytics to allow business insights in a timely and easy to consume manner.
  • Lead, develop, elevate, and inspire a high performing team that understands and is aligned on the vision.
  • Ensure everyone is clear on their personal objectives and the team/department’s performance expectations.
  • Accountable for the overall engagement, productivity, turnover, and bench strength of the team.
  • Work in a collaborative and constructive manner with team and cross functional partners to ensure the business is best in class and the culture inclusive and collaborative.
