About The Position

The Director of Emergency Services is responsible for the overall leadership, direction, and performance of the Emergency Department. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care while overseeing daily operations, staffing, budgeting, and strategic growth initiatives. The Director will collaborate closely with nursing leadership and physician partners to drive operational excellence, improve patient outcomes, and support departmental expansion.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required (or active plan to obtain)
• Minimum 1+ year of leadership experience required
• Active RN license (or compact state eligibility) required

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
• Master’s Degree preferred
• 3+ years of leadership experience preferred
• Recent Emergency Department leadership experience strongly preferred
• Proven track record of measurable performance improvements

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards

• Oversee daily Emergency Department operations

• Develop and manage departmental budgets
• Analyze financial performance and address variances
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies
• Lead, mentor, and develop clinical and support staff
• Foster a culture of engagement, accountability, and collaboration
• Oversee performance management and succession planning
• Partner with executive leadership and medical staff
