This position will require ability and willingness to travel, as needed, up to 50%. OVERVIEW: Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Head of the Endowments and Foundations (E&F) Practice will provide strategic leadership and oversight for the growth, positioning, and long-term direction of Glenmede’s E&F business. This executive will be responsible for shaping and executing a forward-looking strategy that deepens the firm’s presence among endowments and foundations while ensuring strong alignment with Glenmede’s broader organizational goals. She/he will lead the development and execution of a proactive, strategic and thoughtful growth strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for formulating and driving the firm’s non-profit business development efforts across both existing and new client segments, especially endowments and foundations above $100 million in assets. Working in close partnership with Glenmede’s Investment, Operations, and Compliance teams, this role will drive thought leadership initiatives and other brand building efforts to ensure the firm’s capabilities are proactively brought to market in a thoughtful and differentiated manner.  The successful candidate will bring a strong record of business leadership, strategic thinking, and operational execution along with a “business building mindset” and a commitment to working collaboratively with internal stakeholders - investments, relationship management, sales. marketing and operations. Though not directly responsible for individual capital raising, s/he will take a lead role as the “face of this effort,” acting as an ambassador, effectively framing and delivering Glenmede’s story to influential decision makers. The successful candidate will lead a team of 25+ individuals in the strategic growth of this business on a national level and advance a cohesive, sustainable strategy that supports long-term client success and organizational impact. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 15+ years of experience management within the Non-Profit client segment on a national level. S/he will be viewed as a visionary and empowering leader who inspires trust, leads by example and has the requisite gravitas to effectively lead a client channel.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for driving the firm’s Endowments and Foundations business strategy by leading the delivery and execution of its value proposition to differentiate Glenmede in the marketplace and grow market share.
  • Advise on best-in-class delivery/service model to ensure the Endowments and Foundations business scales appropriately while maintaining the integrity of the firm’s high-touch, client centric business model and value proposition.
  • Partner across Client Management, Investment and Operations teams at Glenmede to ensure a thoughtful, cohesive and integrated sales and marketing approach is taken.
  • Set the growth strategy for the Endowments and Foundations practice, prioritizing the market segments with the greatest opportunity for impact and scale, with a focus on organizations with assets above $100 million.
  • Oversee marketing and brand positioning to align with the needs of prioritized market segments.
  • Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with key industry influencers including investment consultants, peer institutions, and sector networks.
  • Serve as a visible ambassador of Glenmede’s thought leadership at national industry conferences, events, and across media platforms to enhance brand visibility and pipeline development.
  • Ensure a consistently high standard of service delivery across all touchpoints, integrating investment, fiduciary, and administrative capabilities to meet the complex needs of institutional clients. 
  • Strengthen long-term client relationships by deepening engagement with existing organizations and cultivating trust-based partnerships with prospective clients. 
  • Implement mechanisms to measure client satisfaction and retention, ensuring continuous improvement and responsiveness to evolving expectations. 
  • Partner with Investments, Operations, and Compliance to ensure delivery of integrated, institutional grade solutions that address the specific objectives of endowment and foundation clients. 
  • Oversee the development and implementation of scalable processes, tailored reporting, and portfolio strategies aligned with client mission, risk profile, and time horizon. 
  • Collaborate across Legal, Fiduciary, and Operations to uphold high standards and effective risk management. 
  • Serve as senior advocate for E&F clients internally, ensuring their evolving needs shape platform development, resource allocation, and cross-functional collaboration. 
  • Assist in building the team’s reputation for professional excellence and credibility throughout the endowment and foundation community.
  • Participate in recruitment, training, mentorship, and leadership of the investment team.
  • Demonstrate by example high levels of ethics, professionalism, and teamwork.
