About The Position

We're seeking a talented Media Director to spearhead our strategic media initiatives and propel our brand to new heights. The Media Director drives the overall media strategy and buying direction of all brand and marketing initiatives, including brand initiatives, promotional programs, local store requests, and new media opportunities. The Director guides and directs internal and external partners on marketing media plans and spend. Key thought leader evaluating and elevating media plans to drive overall in-store and online traffic, sales and consumer preference. This Director is part of the Marketing Leadership Team and works cross-functionally with the Brand Marketing Director, Ecommerce SVP and Creative Director to bring best in class marketing plans and programs to life. Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
10+ years media planning experience with extensive digital and traditional media; preferably in retail or agency
Excellent analytical skills with ability to make decisions and communicate effectively
Rich understanding of measurement and attribution, including audience strategy and budget proficiency
Entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to navigate the nuances of building a new team
Communicate efficiently with the ability to present concepts at a broader business level
High business acumen and solid problem-solving skills; curious, confident, and passionate in learning
Experience leading, managing and coaching direct team members
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a tight deadline environment
Demonstrated ability to work with people of various backgrounds, personality traits and levels of authority
Excellent leadership and influencing skills, with an approachable and collaborative approach
Exemplified leadership trough strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

Responsibilities

Drive overall media strategy and execution across all channels & programs for short and long-term growth.
Oversee paid working media budget to include full funnel across consumer touchpoints and ensure it delivers impactful and efficient media to enhance company performance.
Lead annual media planning and budgeting process; oversee quarterly projections and budget reviews.
Manage broadcast buying team to deliver strategic and efficient schedules; evolve media buying strategies.
Develop and implement performance measurement discipline and connection to overall brand strategies.
Lead media campaign development and integration across all marketing channels, including digital forward ideation and breakthrough marketing ideas; Oversee all plans by DMA.
Direct and lead external media agencies to drive impactful media strategy and plans.
Collaborate closely with Brand Marketing, Ecommerce, PR and Merchandising Teams to develop media strategy and uphold appropriate positioning, brand voice and personality.
Maintain brand values throughout all programs.
Partner with marketing leadership to understand business needs and identify new media opportunities for evolution of the Jordan’s brand; Bring awareness of new digital programs to the team.
Develop and implement testing and individual DMA (store) market plans.
Manage, motivate and coach media team and cross functional partners; act as a brand steward for the Jordan’s Furniture organization.
Keep abreast of industry trends and bring new thinking forward; monitor retail, fashion and furniture news, competition, and trends; act as a thought leader for organization and marketing team.
Support any other function, responsibility or opportunity as assigned.
