About The Position

The Director of People & Culture provides strategic leadership for culture initiatives across a region of Airxcel divisions. This role oversees People & Culture Managers at various locations, drives employee engagement, ensures compliance, and aligns People & Culture programs with organizational goals. The Director serves as a key advisor to senior leadership and a champion for culture, talent development, and workforce planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including multi-site leadership in manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
  • Proven ability to lead People & Culture strategy and manage large teams across multiple locations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and change management skills.

  • Professional certifications (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and Execute HR Strategy - Align People & Culture initiatives with business objectives to support growth, operational excellence, and workforce stability.
  • Lead Multi-Division People & Culture Team - Manage and mentor People & Culture Managers across locations, ensuring consistency in policies, practices, and teammate experience.
  • Drive Teammate Engagement - Design and implement programs that enhance engagement, retention, and overall teammate satisfaction.
  • Ensure Compliance - Oversee adherence to federal, state, and local labor laws, as well as company policies and ethical standards.
  • Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning - Partner with leadership to forecast staffing needs and lead recruitment strategies for critical roles.
  • Performance Management - Implement and monitor performance review processes, coaching programs, and leadership development initiatives.
  • Compensation & Benefits Oversight - Ensure competitive and equitable pay structures and benefits programs that attract and retain talent.
  • Culture & Change Management - Champion organizational culture initiatives and lead change management efforts during transformations or expansions.
  • People & Culture Metrics & Analytics - Track and analyze People & Culture KPIs (turnover, engagement scores, time-to-fill) to inform decisions and continuous improvement.
  • Employee Relations & Conflict Resolution - Serve as escalation point for complex employee relations issues and guide People & Culture Managers in resolution strategies.
