About the Role We're seeking an experienced Director of People Operations to lead our people strategy and build a world-class employee experience. As a partner to company leadership, you'll be responsible for developing and executing people programs that scale with our growth while maintaining our culture and values. We are looking for talented individuals who are motivated by this mission and excited to roll their sleeves up and help the company scale at this moment of tremendous growth.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of HR/People Operations experience, with at least 3 years at a high-growth startup.
  • Proven track record building people operations from early stage through scale (ideally in healthcare, tech, or high-growth startups).
  • Deep expertise in employment law, HR compliance, and risk management.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms and HR tech stack implementation.
  • Strong business acumen with ability to translate people metrics into strategic insights.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and building processes from scratch.
  • Data-driven decision maker who balances analytics with human intuition.
  • Passionate about creating inclusive, equitable workplaces.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with executive leadership to align people strategy with business objectives.
  • Design and implement scalable HR infrastructure, policies, and processes to support company growth.
  • Lead talent acquisition strategy and build recruiting operations to attract top-tier healthcare and tech talent.
  • Develop data-driven insights on workforce trends, retention, and organizational health.
  • Champion and evolve company culture through intentional programs and initiatives.
  • Design and execute comprehensive onboarding and employee development programs.
  • Create and manage performance management systems that drive accountability and growth.
  • Build employee engagement initiatives that foster connection and belonging across remote/hybrid teams.
  • Oversee all HR operations including HRIS management, benefits administration, and payroll coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations across all locations.
  • Manage compensation strategy, equity programs, and total rewards philosophy.
  • Develop and maintain employee handbook, policies, and HR documentation.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing people operations team as the company scales.
  • Coach managers on people management best practices, difficult conversations, and team development.
  • Lead organizational design efforts to optimize team structure and reporting relationships.
