Job Description: Turning Point USA Faith is seeking an experienced, hard-working, and professional Director of Policy and Engagement. This role reports directly to the Senior Director of TPUSA Faith and works with the leadership team to translate the department’s long-term vision into clear, actionable policy initiatives. The Director will develop biblically grounded policy proposals, strengthen relationships and alignment with partner organizations, and craft messaging strategies to advance our mission of countering progressive influences in the American pulpit and uniting churches around primary doctrine.

Requirements

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to connect effectively across audiences.
  • Proficiency in Google Drive (Docs, Sheets, Classroom).
  • Deep grasp of biblical principles and conservative ideals.
  • Comprehensive understanding of current events and emerging issues.
  • Creative, outside-the-box thinker with a strong work ethic.
  • Strong organizational skills; able to prioritize multiple projects, delegate effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Thrives under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Actively seeks, receives, and applies feedback to improve performance.
  • Routinely provides clear, timely progress updates to leadership.
  • Based in Phoenix with the ability to travel 25-30% of the time.
  • Employees are required to have a valid driver's license, a reliable mode of transportation, and proof of insurance when applicable.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Theology, Civics, Political Science, or a related field.
  • Previous policy, leadership, or strategic communications experience.
  • Strong network of relationships among partner organizations.
  • Proven track record driving high-impact initiatives or engaging Christian pastors and leaders.
  • Experience facilitating civic engagement and building coalitions within the Church.

Responsibilities

  • Write high-level cultural and theological statements that articulate biblical truth with clarity and cultural relevance.
  • Build, manage, and convene a council of TPUSA Faith experts (theologians, pastors, and scholars) to provide strategic counsel and resources.
  • Lead internal team professional development to ensure alignment with biblical orthodoxy and effective cultural engagement.
  • Design and implement practical engagement strategies that drive measurable cultural and ecclesial change.
  • Oversee policy initiatives that equip pastors and churches to stand firm on primary doctrines while engaging the culture with confidence.
