About The Position

The Director of Recruiting leads the recruiting department, overseeing the development and execution of strategic recruitment initiatives to meet the organization’s talent acquisition goals. This role directs and mentors a team of recruiters across multiple regions and departments, balancing high-volume hiring with senior-level recruitment. The Director of Recruiting partners with business leaders on workforce planning, manages recruiting systems and budgets, ensures compliance across multi-state operations, and drives the company’s employer brand and candidate experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or a related field is required.
  • 8+ years of experience in talent acquisition/recruiting is required.
  • 5+ years of people management experience in recruiting is required.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing recruiting strategies at scale.
  • Proven success in developing and executing recruiting strategies that support business growth and workforce planning
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, coach, and grow a high-performing team
  • Expertise in talent acquisition strategies, employment branding, workforce forecasting, and senior-level recruitment
  • Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), such as Paycom, and talent sourcing tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong internal partnerships and external networks, can lead trainings for leadership teams
  • Analytical and data-driven, with the ability to interpret recruitment metrics and use insights to guide decision-making
  • Knowledge of multi-state hiring regulations, wage laws, and employment practices in the trades industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods, handle repetitive computer tasks, and occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), or AIRS Certified Internet Recruiter (CIR) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of strategic recruitment initiatives aligned with business goals and workforce planning.
  • Manage and mentor the recruiting department through coaching, training, and performance management.
  • Provide consultative support to executives and department leaders on staffing strategies and organizational growth.
  • Oversee workforce planning, succession strategies, and alignment of recruiting resources across multi-state operations.
  • Direct recruiting efforts for both high-volume field roles and senior-level leadership positions.
  • Identify, implement, and maintain Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and sourcing tools to enhance recruiting efficiency.
  • Drive continuous improvement in recruiting processes to improve efficiency, innovation, and candidate experience.
  • Track, analyze, and report on key recruiting metrics, including time-to-fill, & cost-per hire
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, wage regulations, and hiring practices across all states of operation.
  • Manage the recruiting budget, allocating resources effectively to achieve staffing goals.
  • Strengthen the employer brand by ensuring a consistent and exceptional candidate experience.
  • Represent the company at conferences, recruitment events, and networking functions to promote opportunities and culture.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external agencies, trade schools, and industry partners to expand talent pipelines
