About The Position

The Director of On-Campus Recruiting oversees all planning, coordination, and execution of official and unofficial visits for the football program at the University of Arkansas. This role manages the development and implementation of visit itineraries, campus and facility tours, gameday recruiting events, and all related logistics including hotels, meals, transportation, credentials, ticket distribution, vendor coordination, and event setup. The Director works closely with recruiting leadership, coaching staff, compliance, and the business office to ensure all activities adhere to NCAA and university policies. Responsibilities include submitting and managing ARMS documentation, reconciling recruiting expenses, monitoring visit-related budgets, and ensuring proper processing of financial transactions. This position supervises interns and the hourly student recruiting team, develops training aligned with athletics and university policies, and manages the student recruiting budget. Other duties may be assigned in support of on-campus recruiting operations. Regular, reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher learning
  • At least three years of full-time experience within a collegiate D1 football program in collegiate athletics operations, recruiting, or football personnel
  • Experience coordinating official and unofficial visits for prospective student-athletes
  • Proficiency with recruiting and operations software (Teamworks, Hudl, XOS, recruiting databases, Microsoft Office)

Nice To Haves

  • At least three years of experience in Division I football recruiting or operations, ideally at a Power Five program
  • Experience within the SEC or other Power Five conferences
  • Demonstrated ability to design and execute high-level recruiting visit experiences (official visits, game-day recruiting events, prospect weekends)
  • Experience supervising recruiting assistants, interns, or student workers
  • Experience preparing expense reports
  • Some supervisory/team leader experience or assisting with overseeing student workers
  • Working knowledge of Intercollegiate Athletics as it relates to recruiting
  • Working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
  • Knowledge of roster management, scholarship allocation, and transfer portal processes
  • Strong organizational and administrative abilities
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and game days and travel occasionally
