Requirements

  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience with demonstrated success developing new business and growing customer accounts
  • Experience managing or supporting operational functions such as production, logistics, field operations, or service delivery
  • Track record of generating revenue through proactive outreach, relationship development, and new customer acquisition
  • Experience working cross functionally with operations, production or service teams to meet customer needs
  • Experience working in a startup, small business, or high growth environment
  • Strong relationship management and customer communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in construction, building materials, aggregates, or a related field
  • Exposure to logistics, third party transportation, or supply chain coordination
  • Experience building or improving sales process, pipeline management, or territory development
  • Exposure to plant operations, manufacturing, or field based operational environments

Responsibilities

  • Drive Revenue Growth - Serve as the primary driver of sales for Lockbourne Aggregate. Actively pursue new business opportunities while expanding relationships with existing customers in the construction and development community.
  • Build and Maintain Strong Customer Relationships - Develop long-term partnerships with contractors, developers, and construction partners. Understand their project needs and position Lockbourne Aggregate as a reliable supplier of quality sand and gravel materials.
  • Bring an Established Sales Mindset - Approach the role with a proactive, hunter mentality. Build a strong pipeline of opportunities and cultivate a backlog of relationships that support consistent business growth.
  • Develop and Implement a Sales Process - Create structure and discipline around sales activities. Track opportunities, maintain customer communication, and build a repeatable process that supports sustainable growth.
  • Partner with the Plant Manager to Align Sales and Production - Work closely with the Plant Manager to understand plant capacity, material availability, and production priorities. Ensure sales commitments align with operational capabilities.
  • Maintain Visibility into Plant Operations - Develop a strong understanding of the plant’s daily activity, including material production, equipment capacity, and workforce coordination. Use this knowledge to support customers and make informed business decisions.
  • Support Operational Efficiency and Process Improvements - Collaborate with the Plant Manager to identify opportunities for greater efficiency across production, logistics, and workflow. Bring ideas that strengthen both operational performance and customer service.
  • Grow into Broader Operational Leadership - Over time, develop the knowledge and leadership capability to take on increasing operational responsibility. The long-term opportunity is to help lead and manage the overall success of the business.
  • Coordinate Material Delivery and Logistics - Ensure customers receive materials when and where they need them. Work with internal teams and third party logistics partners to support project timelines and delivery needs.
  • Support a High-Quality Customer Experience - Represent Lockbourne Aggregate’s commitment to excellent service and reliable product delivery. Ensure communication and coordination across teams supports a positive customer experience.
  • Maintain Cross Functional Communication - Work closely with accounting, construction partners, and other affiliated business units. Share insights from the field that support planning, forecasting, and operational alignment.
  • Communicate the Needs of the Business - Serve as a key voice connecting customers, plant operations, and leadership. Ensure important information flows clearly across the organization so the team can respond effectively to opportunities and challenges.
