About The Position

IN SUMMARY... The Director of Strategic Initiatives is a key role, directly impacting productivity by streamlining strategic initiatives, managing programs/projects, and clearly communicating objectives across departments. This position ensures strong partnerships with all stakeholders. Successful candidates will have a proven background or education in business management, with essential experience in executive-level advising, project management, and cross-functional collaboration. This role will serve as an extension of the CEO and Executive Leadership Team (ELT), combining structured program leadership with analytical decision support to accelerate execution of top company priorities. The ideal candidate brings high "executive presence," strong business judgment, and the ability to drive results across functions without direct authority. This position is based in our Atlanta, GA office and will require in-office attendance 3-5 days per week most weeks. Candidates must reside in the metropolitan Atlanta area as no relocation is available. Some travel may be required, but no more than 25% of the time in most situations.

Requirements

• Experience in organizing and directing multiple teams and departments , including influencing without direct authority
• Experience in planning and leading strategic initiatives
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized and execution-oriented; able to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment with strong prioritization and follow-through
• MBA degree (or equivalent experience) in business administration or similar field
• Experience in data analysis and budget management , including financial analysis and basic modeling; advanced Excel required
• Strong project-reporting skills, with focus on interdepartmental communications
• Experience level: 6–10+ years (flexible based on demonstrated scope and impact)

Responsibilities

• Oversee strategic business initiatives, from development to project management to successful execution, under the guidance of the CEO, executive leadership and department heads
• Assist and communicate with CEO and executive leadership in decision-making, program/project management, and initiative implementation (including synthesizing analysis and recommendations into concise executive-ready materials)
• Acts as a strategic advisor to the CEO and executive management team.
• Acts as the liaison between CEO and other executives, employees, clients, and stakeholders to ensure partnerships, consistent communication and ensuring involvement or decision-making at the proper time.
• Ensures timely and effective management and completion of projects and initiatives of the CEO and executive team.
• Creates and maintains systems and processes to streamline operations (e.g., executive operating cadence, initiative tracking, dashboards/scorecards, decision/action logs).
• Maintains accurate confidential files and data records.
• Own preparation and follow-through for key leadership meetings (agendas, pre-reads, action items, and progress reporting).
• Support annual strategic planning and performance management (goal setting, KPI definition, and progress tracking).
• Other duties as may be assigned and necessary
