About The Position

Our Lady of Consolation is a proud member of Catholic Health and a recognized leader in providing exceptional quality driven care. We offer Long Term, Post-Acute and Skilled Nursing services. Our Lady of Consolation is located on the beautiful Great South Bay and is comprised of a 345-bed nursing and rehabilitative care center. Our nurses, physicians and support staff are devoted to providing patient driven health care in an environment of compassion to our patients, their families and our community. Our focus is to create a culture of healing and safety while upholding our religious mission. A Director of Plant Operations is a leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of a plant's operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality while meeting production goals and budget constraints. They manage personnel, coordinate departments, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or a related field preferred. High school diploma , equivalent or relative experience;
  • Or Successful graduation from an accredited trade school with courses in: mechanics, electricity, general maintenance, HVAC.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive leadership experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a nursing home or long-term care facility.
  • Experience working in the building trades
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Valid, clean NYS driver's license

Responsibilities

  • Directing and managing all plant operations and production activities.
  • Ensuring production goals are met, quality standards are upheld, and safety regulations are followed.
  • Developing and managing budgets, controlling costs, and maximizing profitability.
  • Leading, mentoring, and supervising plant staff to foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Developing and implementing efficient production processes, optimizing resource allocation, and improving product quality.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Implementing initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and overall plant performance.
  • Coordinating with other departments, including maintenance, engineering, and logistics.
  • Analyzing production data and generating reports for upper management.
