About The Position

The Site Merchandising Team at Bloomingdale’s is responsible for elevating, optimizing and driving the Bloomingdales.com business across all platforms. The Director of Digital Merchandising will lead the Home and Beauty teams and serve as a primary thought partner to merchants, marketing and digital product to provide a best-in-class digital shopping experience for our customers today and tomorrow. This leader is an expert in digital commerce and deeply engaged in the business to lead highly collaborative teams in our effort to optimize our customers path to discovery and purchase – ultimately improving the digital shopping experience, increasing consumer confidence to convert, pivoting to capitalize on business opportunities and designing thoughtful solutions that inject inspiring moments in the digital customer journey. The Director builds an engaged and highly curious team, along with personally serving as a lead digital strategist for Bloomingdales.

Requirements

  • 7 plus years direct experience
  • Practices open and continuous communication, values keeping others informed, effectively presenting information in a clear, concise manner
  • Excellent leadership, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across functional lines and at many levels
  • Ability to think creatively, strategically and technically
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and Company needs

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team responsible for executing digital merchandising strategies across navigation, on-site search, category presentation, content, promotions, and feature enhancements, ensuring a seamless omni-channel experience
  • Analyze digital performance to identify opportunities in assortment optimization, pricing strategy, promotional effectiveness, channel performance, and customer behavior
  • Measure and report on customer engagement across devices and traffic channels, translating insights into actionable strategies
  • Leverage data, tools, and cross-functional partnerships to improve customer experience and drive top-line sales and conversion growth 
  • Partner closely with Buying and Planning teams to identify risks and opportunities within assigned businesses
  • Continuously refine category navigation and taxonomy based on performance insights and evolving customer behavior
  • Lead on-site campaign planning, briefing, and execution of marketing assets to ensure strong storytelling and commercial impact
  • Collaborate with other Site Merchandise leaders to develop cross-site strategies and maintain a cohesive, consistent customer experience
  • Support digital marketing initiatives by implementing SEO best practices and partnering with Search and Affiliate teams on linking and optimization strategies
