The Director, Talent Acquisition – High Volume & Sales will lead full-lifecycle, high-volume recruitment across our venue operations and sales organizations, including early career and Student Associate internship programs. This leader will develop and execute scalable talent acquisition strategies that support frontline venue teams, revenue-driving sales functions, and emerging talent pipelines. Partnering closely with business leadership, HR Business Partners, and HR Centers of Excellence, the Director will ensure recruitment strategies align with operational demands, seasonal hiring cycles, and long-term workforce planning goals. This role requires a strategic, hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced, high-volume environments and brings strong experience in venue, hospitality, sports, entertainment, or sales recruitment.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive recruiting experience, with significant expertise in high-volume venues, hospitality, sports, entertainment, retail, or sales environments.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale hiring initiatives, including seasonal ramp-ups and workforce planning for operational teams.
  • Demonstrated success managing and scaling campus recruitment and internship programs.
  • Strong leadership experience with the ability to develop, coach, and inspire recruiting teams.
  • Expertise in building efficient, process-driven recruitment models that balance speed, quality, and candidate experience.
  • Exceptional consultative and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and operational stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using recruiting data and workforce metrics to drive strategy.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
  • High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end, high-volume recruitment for venue operations, guest services, event staff, and sales roles—from workforce planning and requisition intake through offer and onboarding.
  • Develop and execute scalable hiring strategies to support peak season demands, new venue initiatives, and revenue growth objectives.
  • Oversee campus and early career recruitment initiatives, including Student Associate internship programs, building strong partnerships with universities and community organizations.
  • Build and sustain robust talent pipelines for recurring and seasonal roles, ensuring readiness for rapid hiring needs.
  • Partner with venue and sales leadership to understand business priorities, staffing models, and performance profiles to deliver proactive recruiting solutions.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to hiring managers, providing coaching on interviewing, selection processes, workforce planning, and inclusive hiring practices.
  • Lead sourcing strategies leveraging job boards, community outreach, career fairs, employee referrals, social media, and workforce partnerships to attract diverse, high-quality talent.
  • Monitor recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, time-to-start, cost-per-hire, conversion rates, retention indicators) to drive data-informed decisions and continuous improvement.
  • Enhance the candidate and hiring manager experience by ensuring clear communication, operational efficiency, and process transparency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional HR partners (Compensation, HRIS, Workforce Management, Learning & Development) to streamline processes and support onboarding and retention initiatives.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop recruiting team members, fostering a high-performance, service-oriented culture within the People Acquisition function.
  • Support offer development and compensation alignment to ensure competitive, equitable hiring practices.
