Director- US Vaccines Portfolio Marketing External Engagement | Why Patients Need You Pfizer has pioneered innovation in vaccines for over 25 years and in most recent years has developed an industry leading portfolio of assets aligned to CDC/ACIP recommendations. The time is now to elevate how we think about our value to the marketplace, our customers and their patients by bringing a higher impact portfolio value to the marketplace and customers to complement our brand specific strategies and execution. Pfizer has created a new organization designed to lead portfolio marketing efforts in priority areas complementing brand teams by driving scale, consistency, and portfolio level impact. What You Will Achieve As the Director of Vaccines Portfolio Marketing External Engagement, you will report to Portfolio Marketing External Engagement Lead. You will pull through the portfolio external engagement strategy by delivering a marketing plan that delivers needed belief and behavior changes to support increased immunization rates. You will be a key member of a team of marketers focused on marketing strategies, campaigns, and tactics that deliver breakthrough impact changing beliefs and behaviors that maximizes the Pfizer value proposition to customers and grows immunization rates in line with CDC/ACIP guidelines and brand strategies. You will participate in high performing cross-functional team with internal partners (Brand Teams, Field Teams, Medical, Retail & Access, Legal, Regulatory, Digital/Tech, Training, Marketing CoE) and leverage key external partners to maximize budget/resources driving best-in-class strategies and execution while measuring performance and driving continuous improvement in the strategies/execution. Scope and impact This work will have broad scope and impact working across every Pfizer brand/asset, all key customer segments, with the scale to deliver meaningful change in the external market which accelerates business objectives. Key measures of success Deployment of portfolio marketing campaigns with high impact on market, Exceeding annual commercial objectives, Exceeding immunization rate growth targets.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree with 8+ years of sales / marketing pharmaceutical experiences
  • Vaccines sales / marketing experience
  • Experience designing, developing, gaining approvals, training and executing marketing plans and tactics

Nice To Haves

  • Masters degree with 10+ years of sales / marketing pharmaceutical experiences
  • Understanding of vaccines business and evolving healthcare landscape including key external stakeholder groups, customer types, population-based recommendations, manufacturer products and portfolios
  • Limited travel expectations: Travel may include attendance at sales meetings and field rides
  • Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deliver and execute portfolio marketing plan to address vaccination belief/behavioral barriers to pediatric, adolescent and adult immunizations
  • A point of contact and subject matter expert across the US vaccines business delivering marketing plans that pull through portfolio external engagement opportunities including- closing HCP/Consumer perception gap, improving impact of HCP recommendations, identification and prioritization of opportunities w/ overlapping populations (e.g. Underlying Medical Conditions), development of integrated portfolio engagement plan across key opinion leaders/external experts/professional associations/congresses
  • Partner with advertising agencies and other key external partners to ensure project deliverables are achieved on time and within budget
  • Collaborate with Vaccines customer facing and training teams on roll out and pull through of customer facing materials
  • Liaise with key stakeholders risk mitigation partners in the development and approval of marketing plans including but not limited to legal, regulatory, and medical colleagues
  • Contribute to achieving business unit revenue commitments and responsibly maximizing SI&A budget
