About The Position

Under general supervision of the VP Purchasing and following established policies and procedures, oversees the value analysis function pertaining to addition of new products, replacement of existing products, and consolidation of current product lines to provide improved clinical outcomes and reduced costs. Responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, implementation, and management of the Value Analysis Program/Team and process within the healthcare organization. Oversees Value Analysis software and tools. Facilitates all Value Analysis committee meetings to include presentations, data research and reimbursement. Coordinates with Service Line Colleges and function as a clinical resource for Materials Management product selection. Leads team in making informed decisions on product selection using peer-reviewed evidence, focusing on cost-effectiveness and quality outcomes. Drives the delivery of total value product selection, ensuring the improvement in patient care quality through evidence-based evaluation of products, equipment, and services. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital

Requirements

  • Knowledge of nursing process, Service Line structures, standards of care, medical equipment, and medical/surgical supply application.
  • Demonstrated skill in analyzing data, practices, or procedures to define problem or jective, identify relevant concerns or factors, formulate logical and objective conclusions and recognize alternates and their implications.
  • Ability to proactively create, develop, and build strong relationships with senior-level decision- makers, including physician and C-suite leaders, clinical staff, and vendors.
  • Demonstrated project management and leadership abilities, with experience in mentoring and developing team members.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, demonstrating organizational skills and flexibility.
  • Ability to inspire confidence, diffuse tension, and function as a change agent.
  • Eight (8) years of experience, four (4) in a leadership capacity.
  • Clinical license required for corresponding clinical degree.
  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing, Respiratory Therapy, Radiologic Technology, or related Allied Health field.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse, Registered Respiratory Therapist, or Radiology Technologist in the state of Florida .
  • Knowledge of Value Analysis software and previous experience as Value Analysis software Superuser.
  • Experience with budgeting and forecasting.
