Cirrus Logic's Hardware organization is seeking a Distinguished Analog/Systems Design Engineer to join our power team developing high-performance Power and Audio Products. We’re looking for a seasoned power system architect to define and drive the next generation of power and control architectures for high‑volume consumer electronics. This is a high‑visibility, high‑impact technical role where you will shape system‑level strategies across power, audio, sensing, connectivity, and mixed‑signal silicon platforms used by Tier 1 customers. This role is right at the intersection of silicon, system design, and product innovation. Requirements

  • Significant experience in architecting, specifying, and designing power and mixed-signal products for portable electronic products such as smartphones, tablets, music/video players, etc.
  • Broad system-level knowledge across wider mobile application space
  • Strong skills in CMOS analog design and layout
  • Strong signal processing skills
  • Organized and detailed with strong communication skills
  • Possess outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Results-oriented and thrive in a dynamic environment
  • Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 20+ years of proven IC development experience; or PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 15+ years of proven IC development experience.

Responsibilities

  • Define end to end power architectures for complex mixed signal ICs and multi chip solutions.
  • Lead power systems modeling, budgeting, and optimization across silicon, firmware, and full-system integration.
  • Translate customer and product requirements into scalable, robust, and manufacturable power system designs in partnership with marketing and platform teams.
  • Implement advanced analog and digital loop control techniques to enhance stability and dynamic system performance across varying operating conditions.
  • Partner closely with Design Engineering, Advanced Technology, Firmware and IP teams on novel solutions to satisfy product and customer needs.
  • Serve as a technical authority in customer engagements, design reviews, and system bring up.
  • Lead architecture reviews and participate in IC-level design reviews and board-level design reviews with design engineering, applications and validation teams.
  • Mentor senior engineers and guide teams through complex power related design challenges.
