The Job The Distribution Manager is a leadership role managing all aspects of warehouse operations. This role oversees a team of Warehouse Associates, ensuring the efficient flow of goods and maintaining a safe and productive work environment. The Opportunity

Requirements

  • Must be eligible to work in Canada.
  • Must have a valid BC Drivers License
  • Previous experience in warehouse management or supervision.
  • Proven track record in optimizing distribution operations and inventory control.
  • Experience in team leadership and safety compliance.
  • Experience in warehouse and WMS configuration and implementation. Pick/Put sequencing, zone layout and definitions, location setup, workflow definition, etc.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management software and inventory tracking systems.

Responsibilities

  • Team Management: Lead and supervise Warehouse Associates, including task assignments, performance evaluations, and training.
  • Operational Oversight: Manage daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, packing, and shipping. Participate in production as needed to meet SLA’s and business needs.
  • Inventory Control: Oversee inventory management, conducting regular audits, and implementing best practices to maintain accuracy.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all outgoing shipments meet quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Efficiency: Continuously improve warehouse processes to optimize productivity and reduce costs.
  • Safety: Enforce safety policies, conduct safety training, and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Reporting: Generate and analyze reports related to warehouse performance, inventory levels, and order fulfillment.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Manage the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment.
  • Budget Management: Assist in budget planning and monitor expenses related to warehouse operations.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to meet company goals and objectives.
  • Other duties: As assigned.
