What you’ll be doing: Play a pivotal role at the heart of District operations, providing administrative support that keeps the Rural Fire Service running smoothly. This role is the backbone of the office, coordinating systems, managing records, supporting meetings, responding to enquiries, and ensuring information flows efficiently across teams. In this position, you will have the opportunity to contribute positively to a volunteer-based emergency service committed to protecting the community.

Requirements

  • Have a high level of organisation skills.
  • Be a proactive administrative professional who thrives in a fast-paced, community-focused environment.
  • Bring strong clerical and records management skills and a sound knowledge of office systems and procedures.
  • Have the ability to manage competing priorities with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Be confident liaising with staff at all levels and engaging respectfully with volunteer members, demonstrating excellent communication skills and a responsive, customer-focused approach to enquiries.
  • Be technologically capable and detail-oriented, with the ability to maintain accurate records and produce high-quality correspondence and reports.
  • Be a collaborative team player, able to adapt during periods of heightened operational activity.
