About The Position

Pulsed laser methods can convey dynamic information regarding how nanomaterials evolve following a photon absorption. This project would utilize femtosecond laser pulses to produce electron-hole pairs and their recombination pathways and efficiencies can then be recorded. Novel types of nanomaterial compositions ranging from semiconductors to plasmonic metals to superconductors would be examined as functions of excitation photon energy.
