University Advancement is seeking (1) Donor Compliance Manager to join the already incredible team taking Georgia State University to the next level of excellence!

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Systems of Non-Profit Management, and five years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing each workflow process for all types of Foundation-sponsored student aid, producing related financial reports, ensuring the accuracy of reported information, and related communication with Divisions, Colleges, and Departments.
  • Responsible for collaborating with colleagues throughout the GSU community to ensure compliance with workflow process, communicating the availability of unspent funds to encourage timely awarding, and responding to inquiries regarding the process.
  • Monitors and ensures compliance with federal and state requirements, GSU policies and procedures, and Foundation donor restrictions for all scholarship transactions funded by the Foundation.
  • Maintains credentials to the Foundation General Ledger system, GSU Student Information System, GSU University Scholarship System (scholarship administration application), and new systems as required when available.
  • Serves as the administrative liaison between GSU Foundation and GSU Divisions, Units, Colleges, and Departments for all transactions related to Foundation sponsored scholarships, awards, and student aid for any existing or new GSU University Scholarship System.
  • Acquires, implements, and maintains knowledge of accounting practices, university policies and procedures, and federal administration related to scholarships, awards, and student aid.
  • Ensures the availability of funds for all requests received and monitors budget activity.
  • Works with the Foundation Accounts Payable Manager and Budget Manager to ensure scholarship awards are paid/funded through GSU Financial Aid, and assists with term reconciliations of all Foundation scholarship awards with GSU records
  • Monitors scholarship agreements and purpose statements to ensure usage of funds is in compliance with donor intent.
  • Serves as a resource to the GSU community on best practices in student awards administration, ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures.
  • Assists with annual Scholarship Blueprint instruction memo, including workflow and related directions for the awarding of scholarships, awards, and student aid.
  • Coordinates with Division, College, and Department scholarship coordinators and department contacts, assisting with orientation, training workshops, written workflow materials, and forms related to the GSU University Scholarship System.
  • Assists the CFO, Comptroller, and other Foundation Accounting Department staff with projects as requested.
