Summary The Compliance Manager is responsible for leading a team and identifying, improving, documenting, and implementing internal controls to drive regulatory compliance and risk mitigation efforts throughout the organization. Further, this role interacts with various company stakeholders and will assist in structuring processes, procedures, and technology to maximize our risk mitigation efforts.

  • 5-7 years of audit/risk experience/management or internal controls required
  • Four (4) in-office workdays per week and the option to work one (1) additional day remote OR in office
  • Occasional travel required

Responsibilities

  • Support the Director of Risk and Compliance in embedding a culture of compliance awareness
  • Ability to lead and train staff on internal control standards and procedures
  • Implement and manage internal controls to ensure consistent processes and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory obligations including in regulated industries such as health insurance, healthcare, and financial services, while applying a commercial and practical approach to risk-based solutions
  • Ensure the organization’s sales practices, training, and marketing comply with applicable regulations
  • Establish systems and metrics to monitor the status of identified risk areas
  • Work alongside and collaborate with the Director of Risk and Compliance to develop, lead, and drive engagement of the Compliance team’s internal controls to maximize effectiveness and ensure compliance with licensing, renewal, and continuing education requirements
  • Establish and drive various audits, quality assurance services, licensing, auditing and reporting, and other appropriate procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual provisions as well as internal policies
  • Manage the successful delivery of compliance projects (audits, etc.) to the organization
  • Partner with Financial Operations, Legal, Allegis Compliance/Risk Management, Human Resources, Technology Solutions, and Executive Leadership on all relevant areas of risk
  • Provide leadership, development, and coaching to direct reports
