About The Position

GREATER NEW BEDFORD REGIONAL VOCATIONAL TECHNICAL HIGH SCHOOL 2026-2027 School Year 2 positions. Please note that multiple positions may be hired from this posting, if necessary. WORK YEAR: 185 Days REPORTS TO: Department Administrator REQUIREMENTS: Chapter 74 license Drafting Grade 9-14 License Associate degree or higher degree related to the subject matter and skills to be taught- view and Four years of full-time employment experience directly related to the field of the license sought view and Passing score on each test (written test, performance test) in drafting view and Literacy Skills Test Advisory view and One of the following: Achieve a passing score on the Vocational Technical Literacy Skills Test (VTLST). view -or- Achieve a passing score on the Communication and Literacy Skills test view PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Meets and instructs assigned students in designated locations and times. Develops and maintains an environment conducive to effective learning. Prepare for assigned classes and shows written evidence of preparation upon request of superior. Assists students to set and maintain standards of appropriate behavior. Employs a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media to meet the needs of the students, Implements the district’s philosophy of education and instructional goals and objectives. Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities. Evaluates student progress on a continuing basis. Maintain accurate, complete and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation. Enforces school rules, administrative regulations, and board policy. Is available to meet with students and parents for education related purposes outside the instructional day when required or requested to do so. Participates in faculty meetings. Cooperates with other members of the staff in planning instructional goals, objectives, and methods. Assists in the selection of books, equipment, and other instructional materials. Maintains open lines of communication with students and their parents concerning their educational and behavioral progress. Participates in staff and faculty meetings. Participates in the evaluation process. Performs other duties as needed. Requirements

  • Chapter 74 license Drafting Grade 9-14 License
