Requirements
- A strong mission orientation to serve high-risk seniors and frail older adults with care and respect.
- At least one (1) year of experience driving frail and elderly participants safely and reliably.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as part of your daily responsibilities.
- A valid California Class "C" Driver’s License with: At least five (5) years of driving experience. No more than one (1) moving violation or one (1) at-fault accident in the past three (3) years.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; one (1) year of relevant experience may substitute for education.
- BLS, CPR and First Aid certification (to be obtained within 60 days of employment).

- Experience in non-emergency or public transportation is a plus
Responsibilities
- Safely transport participants to and from the center, offsite activities, specialist appointments, and deliver meals as needed.
- Ensure participant safety during all stages of transport – from entering, riding in, and exiting the vehicle.
- Collaborate with the Transportation Coordinator and Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) to observe and report changes in participants' physical and emotional health.
- Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections, maintain equipment quality, and report defects promptly.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with participants, team members, and external contacts to create a welcoming experience.
- Assist with center activities during downtime by escorting participants, supporting events, and maintaining clean, organized spaces.
- Embrace additional opportunities and responsibilities as needed, actively participating in the continued growth and success of the organization.
