RT Industries in Troy, OH is looking to hire a part -time Driver to provide transportation for adult day support (ADS) for our clients. Do you have a heart for serving individuals with disabilities? A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A DRIVER As a Driver, you provide transportation to people with developmental disabilities in order to help them be a larger part of their community. Working with a team, you provide transportation and support to help others effectively participate in day-to-day activities. This often looks like safely transporting people to and from community-inclusive activities and providing assistance with gait and mobility when needed. You are always careful to model appropriate social skills and behaviors. With patience and understanding, you are quick to respond to challenging situations when they occur. Safety is a top priority for you. Therefore, you carefully maintain all needed supplies and notify your immediate supervisor of any inoperative equipment or needed materials. You perform daily pre-and post-trip inspections and complete timely service delivery documentation. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 21+ years of age
- Ability to become certified in CPR and first aid
- Current driver's license, a good driving record, and the ability to safely operate a 14-person vehicle
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and move people in a safe manner
