About The Position

Our eCommerce operation is structured across multiple departments to ensure efficiency and expertise in every category. We are currently seeking team members who have a strong interest in and knowledge of one or more of the following areas: Antiques Vintage to modern collectibles Glassware Ceramics Everyday household items This position is responsible for accurately identifying merchandise by category and preparing items for listing on our eCommerce platform, ShopGoodwill.com/md [//ShopGoodwill.com/md].

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous online business experience and/or product knowledge required
  • Ability to complete tasks and assignments with numerous interruptions and little direct supervision
  • Computer aptitude and research skills required
  • Ability to communicate clearly in person and on the telephone
  • Ability to understand verbal instructions
  • Attention to detail and diligence to meet daily production goals
  • Commitment to team building and improvement processes

Responsibilities

  • Sort and evaluate unique items and products, demonstrating the ability to identify specific items, designers, and maker’s marks through web-based research and team collaboration.
  • Authenticate, assess, and research a variety of merchandise, preparing items for online listing by creating clear, accurate, and concise product descriptions.
  • Meet or exceed established daily production goals while maintaining quality standards.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
  • Support and promote the mission and values of Goodwill.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
