Has a sound understanding of the maintenance history of the building, equipment, and other facilities to be maintained. Job Description RESPONSIBILITIES Provide preventive maintenance and troubleshooting for all process instrumentation, including flow, pressure, temperature, relative humidity, level, conductivity, and pH. Ability to read and interrupt general engineering & electrical drawings. Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair PLC systems. Perform PLC backups and basic programming of PLC’s. Maintain documentation of repairs in compliance with cGMP documentation practices. Perform calibrations on various instruments which include but not limited to flow meters, load cells, pressure and temperature transmitters. Performs Preventive Maintenance (PM’s, and routine maintenance request). Evaluate new electrical installations to ensure site standards are met and maintained. Appropriately responds to alarms on the BAS (Building Automated System). Perform troubleshooting & repair of critical utility systems, including DI, WFI, Pure Steam and USP Purified Water. Electrical and instrumentation troubleshooting and preventative maintenance of 480 volt, 120 volt and 24 volt systems, including installation of new wiring/circuits. Night/weekend rotational on call for response to facility issues & BAS alarms. Contacts and oversees outside services as necessary. Perform other duties as may be required by supervisor. REQUIREMENTS Must have extensive experience in preventive maintenance, calibration, and repair of various process instruments. Experience in Electrical repair, and troubleshooting preferred. Experience in troubleshooting, maintenance, and programming of Allen Bradley PLC(s), HMI(s) & graphical interfaces. Working knowledge of mechanical & plumbing systems. Ability to assist in the troubleshooting & repair of motors and miscellaneous equipment. i.e. rotating equipment, pumps, fans, and vacuum systems. Understanding of cGMP fundamentals to include, but not limited to Good Documentation Practices preferred. At least 3-5 yrs. experience in manufacturing maintenance industry preferred. Preferably a GMP regulated industry. i.e. manufacturing, pharmaceutical or medical device industry. A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in the Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology or similar industry preferred. Strong organizational skills. Able to handle multiple priorities and tasks. Sound judgment; ability to be flexible. Detail oriented. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Works well in team environment and with cross functional teams. Requirements
