About The Position

Fairchild Books, an imprint of Bloomsbury Publishing, is seeking an editorial intern for the Spring/Summer 2026 cycle. We are a publisher of academic titles located in Midtown/Herald Square. We are the leading publisher in Fashion and Interior Design textbooks. This internship will be hybrid, with 8 hours in the office and 12 hours working from home. Position Profile As a small team, our interns are a key part of our day-to-day operations. As a Fairchild editorial intern, you will work with the Editorial team on a variety of projects that reflect the diverse aspects of academic publishing.

Requirements

• We are looking for creative and motivated individuals, who ideally have the following skills:
• High level of familiarity with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
• Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook
• Firm grasp of grammar and spelling, with a keen eye for detail
• Ability to work efficiently and independently
• Strong communication skills in a fast-paced professional environment
• Access to your own laptop that will be used for the duration of the internship
• Candidates must reside in NY, NJ, CT, or PA and be able to commute to Bloomsbury USA’s New York City office

Responsibilities

• Completing course, academic, and art research
• Assisting with the creation of book resources such as PowerPoints for instructors
• Working with data systems like Biblio and Salesforce as needed
• Various administrative tasks
• Opportunities to take on other editorial projects may also arise
