About The Position

In support of North Range Behavioral Health’s mission to provide compassionate, high-quality behavioral health services that strengthen individuals, families, and our community, the Electronic Health Records (EHR) Informatics Specialist ensures that our technology infrastructure meaningfully advances client care and operational excellence. This role leads the implementation, enhancement, and optimization of electronic health record and practice management systems with a strong emphasis on data integrity, regulatory compliance, and workflow alignment. By serving as a subject matter expert in system configuration, administration, testing, and maintenance, the EHR Informatics Specialist ensures that clinical and operational systems are intuitive, efficient, and responsive to evolving organizational needs. Through cross-departmental collaboration, the role translates clinical and business requirements into sustainable system solutions that improve documentation accuracy, reporting reliability, and service delivery outcomes. Continuous evaluation and synchronization of system functionality with operational processes promotes data-informed decision-making, enhances efficiency, and supports high standards of care. Ultimately, the EHR Informatics Specialist strengthens North Range Behavioral Health’s ability to deliver accessible, coordinated, and person-centered care by ensuring that technology empowers, not complicates, the work of those serving our community.

Requirements

  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Finance, Healthcare, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2 years related experience (i.e. healthcare business operations and/or direct service working extensively with EHR systems).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience and knowledge of MyAvatar or other behavioral health EHR is preferred.
  • Experience and knowledge of CPT/HCPCS coding is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for the EHR and integrated systems, ensuring technology supports high-quality, person-centered care.
  • Troubleshoot system and data issues to maintain accurate documentation, reliable reporting, and uninterrupted service delivery.
  • Collaborate across departments to improve workflows, strengthen processes, and increase value to clinical and operational teams.
  • Lead and support system enhancements, configurations, testing, and upgrades to align with evolving organizational and regulatory needs.
  • Maintain data integrity through quality control, validation, reporting oversight, and correction of errors.
  • Provide system and billing administration to ensure accurate services, claims, and financial sustainability.
  • Develop training materials and share knowledge to empower staff in using systems effectively and confidently.
  • Support state and contract reporting requirements through file preparation, validation, error resolution, and external portal management.
  • Partner with vendors and participate in user groups to continuously improve system functionality and performance.
  • Provide HelpDesk support and contribute to a responsive, solution-focused technology environment.
  • Contribute to strategic projects and initiatives that advance operational excellence and strengthen community impact.
