About The Position

As a Manager of the EHS Environmental Compliance team, you will lead a team of environmental professionals to develop and implement comprehensive global compliance strategies across air, water, and waste domains, oversee the creation of innovative compliance tools and systems, and ensure Apple exceeds environmental regulatory requirements worldwide. You will work closely with regional teams, facility operations, legal partners, and sustainability teams to build scalable programs that drive environmental excellence while supporting Apple's commitment to leaving the world better than we found it.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, or related field
  • Eight or more years of progressive experience in environmental compliance and program management
  • Five or more years of people management experience leading environmental or compliance teams
  • Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following: due diligence, air quality, water, and waste regulatory frameworks across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing environmental management systems and compliance tools.
  • Strong understanding of environmental permitting processes and regulatory agency interactions.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Law, MBA, or related field.
  • Ten or more years of experience managing global environmental compliance programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire diverse, geographically distributed teams.
  • Excellent communication and executive presentation skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
  • Deep expertise in environmental due diligence processes, including Phase I/II assessments and transaction support.
  • Experience developing and deploying enterprise-wide compliance software and digital tools.
  • Proven track record of building successful compliance assurance and audit programs.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives concurrently.
  • Experience navigating international environmental regulations and standards (ISO 14001, etc.).
  • Ability to think strategically while maintaining attention to operational details.
  • Professional environmental certifications (CEM, CHMM, QEP, or similar).
  • Demonstrated success driving continuous improvement through data analytics and performance metrics.
