About The Position

As an EHS Technician, you will perform and coordinate site safety training; coordinate site safety incident investigations with the site production and EHS teams. You will participate in compliance auditing, assist in development, implementation, and execution of programs intended to continuously move the site toward implementation of a best-in class safety system. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING Assist with various projects relating to EHS needs in the plant Identify, assess, and monitor workplace hazards that could be present in the work area; remediate hazards, and/or recommend improvements to minimize hazard potential Assist in incident investigations for accidents, incidents, injuries and complaints concerning potential hazards or unsafe conditions in the workplace Conduct training for employees related to EHS compliance. Develop, implement, and maintain programs, systems, and procedures necessary to ensure the overall safety and health of employees and the plant Actively work toward continuous improvement of the EHS programs including refining or developing standard work for all routine tasks, inspections, reports, as well as refining training programs and procedures to ensure program consistency Coordinates EHS inspections and auditing of the plant Monitor injury statistics and lead corrective action implementation Lead or assist in ergonomic assessments Being flexible to address EHS training and concerns on off shifts Adhere to established operational procedures and standard work to assist leadership to ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate standards Coordinate and participate on various safety teams Perform other duties as assigned at management’s discretion This job description indicates in general the nature and levels of work, knowledge, skills, abilities and other essential functions (as covered under the Americans with Disabilities Act) expected of a EHS Technician. Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Proficiency in database, spreadsheet, word processing, and presentation software
  • Knowledge of People management and EHS related topics and programs

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor/Associate degree and/or equivalent experience preferred
  • One-two years’ experience in manufacturing environment preferred

Responsibilities
