Requirements

This position requires a Bachelor's degree; preferably in Electrical Engineering.
1 - 5 years of product development experience in an electronic / electrical manufacturing environment
Design experience in one of the following product segments: Power, energy, defense, industrial automation and/or control industries Telecommunications, RF applications & testing and DC circuits
Analog and digital electronic design and schematic capture
Experience with embedded microcontroller designs, ICE and IDE development tools and C programming.
Strong organizational and time management skills and an ability to adapt to changing requirements and circumstances
Strong verbal presentation, writing and computer application skills
An able to simultaneously manage several objectives and changing priorities
An ability to interpret a multitude of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Willingness to work in a cooperative and effective manner while under pressure to meet deadlines

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in the design of Surge Protection Devices will be a plus

Responsibilities

Actively contributes to development projects as a member of Raycap’s local and global technical engineering teams
Designs and lays out printed circuit boards using the Altium software suite
Manages the efficient and timely translation of customer needs into viable marketable solutions
Evaluates electrical systems, products and applications, to design optimal solutions for our customers
Assures product quality during production by designing electrical testing methods at both board and system level
Prepares technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
Provides technical support to inside and outside sales personnel
Adheres to Raycap’s Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management (EMS), and Occupational Health & Safety (OSHA) and procedures
