About The Position

Basic Function The Electrical Engineer position will perform an assortment of engineering duties in the Technology Development group to support new product development in the field of electromechanical systems. This position will also actively participate in the Product Development Process and perform in a team environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Concept and prototype development Analog circuit design including power supply design (switching and linear) as well as circuits with discrete semiconductors. Digital circuit design using microprocessors and associated peripheral devices in embedded systems. Use computer aided design tools such as schematic capture, PCB layout, and simulation to achieve circuit design goals. Electrical system troubleshooting. Printed Circuit Board rework Support cost analysis for engineering efforts and final product costs Engineering testing. Design and testing for agency approvals. Maintain regular attendance and able to get along in a team environment. Support Company continuous improvement initiative. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Good communication skills (both written and verbal).

  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.
  • Programming ability using the ‘C’ language.
  • Ability to follow all safety procedures.
  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering required or a technical diploma with a least 3 years of related experience
  • 0-2 years of related work experience
  • Knowledge in PC applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint as well as schematic capture, simulation and associated engineering tools required.
