About The Position

itD is seeking an Electrical Engineer – PCB & Flex Circuits to support a cutting-edge business group developing next-generation AR wearable devices. This role plays a critical part in enabling advanced features within compact form factors by driving innovation across flexible and rigid circuit board design. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in PCBA and flexible circuit development and a proven track record of delivering design releases from early concept through production in high-volume consumer hardware environments. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in electrical design, PCB development, or related hardware engineering roles.
  • Direct ownership of design releases for PCBAs, flexible circuits, and multi-layer boards from concept through production.
  • Hands-on experience managing SMT and FATP builds end-to-end, including schedule, quality, and yield optimization.
  • Strong knowledge of schematics, layout, and design-for-manufacturability principles.
  • Proven experience working directly with APAC contract manufacturers and flex vendors, including supplier readiness management.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience developing AR wearable devices or consumer electronics.
  • Familiarity with integrating small electrical components into compact or constrained form factors.
  • Knowledge of advanced PCB fabrication techniques and materials.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end electrical design releases for flexible circuits and multi-layer boards (MLBs), from early development through production.
  • Develop schematics, layouts, and form factors for PCB fabrication, ensuring successful execution and vendor approval.
  • Collaborate closely with electrical engineers and cross-functional partners to deliver high-quality hardware designs aligned to product requirements.
  • Manage SMT (Surface Mount Technology) and FATP (Final Assembly, Test, and Pack) builds, optimizing for schedule, quality, and yield.
  • Drive schedule tracking, gather cross-functional feedback, and proactively identify and mitigate technical and execution risks.
  • Engage directly with APAC contract manufacturers and flex vendors to ensure supplier readiness and manufacturability.
  • Work outside standard business hours as needed to support collaboration with Asia-Pacific partners.
  • Attend regular internal practice community meetings.
  • Collaborate with your itD practice team on industry thought leadership.
  • Complete client case studies and learning material (blogs, media material).
  • Build out material to contribute to the Digital Transformation practice.
  • Attend internal itD networking events (in person and virtual).
  • Work with leadership on career fast-track opportunities.
