About The Position

Position Summary: This position is responsible for the assembly and wiring of electrical components in electrical cabinets. Repairs, maintains, replaces, installs, and tests electrical/electronic systems, circuits, and equipment. Inspects equipment and diagnoses trouble or malfunctions. Analyzes equipment failures, determines cause, and makes necessary adjustments. Operates electrical hand tools and voltage or ampere measuring devices. Pay Range: $18.70 - $25.30 per Hour Experience: Minimum six (6) plus months’ relevant assembly experience Basic electrical wiring experience Skills / Ability: Ability to install flex and EMT conduit Working knowledge of the following tools: drill motors, cutoff saws, grinders, drill press, tapping tools, belt sanders, and various hand tools. Proficiently read and use a tape measure. Read, write, and understand English to read/interpret prints, diagrams and drawings. Skills to perform basic math. Must be able to locate materials and set up work in a safe and efficient manner. Must be a team player, including good interpersonal skills Preferred Qualifications: Experience with sweating copper Ability to layout circuits and install wiring Basic Tig & MiG welding, grinding and finishing skills Experience with sheet metal manufacturing Experience working in a production environment Essential Job Responsibilities: Actively participate in safety program activities. Follow all safety and housekeeping rules. Assemble electrical cabinets Install flex and EMT conduit Work to gain knowledge and new techniques to improve and increase productivity. After training , assist with the assembly of RSPC and UDS systems Follow company policies. After training , assist with electrical component assembly of ventilation equipment. After training, Tig fillet weld and finish stainless steel product and a variety of components with uniform width and depth Willing to assist in other areas as needed. Body Movements – amount of time spent performing each physical requirement is defined as: Occasional – 1/3 or less Frequent – 1/3 to 2/3 Continuous – 2/3 or more Frequent to Continuous : standing up to 10hrs/day, walking, twisting, turning, bending, and reaching. Occasional to Frequent: ability to lift to 50lbs and work with arms extended at shoulder level or above Occasional: sitting, pushing and pulling, working from a kneeling position, climb and work from ladders.
