About The Position

The Electronics Technician supports the Shippensburg Plant and Distribution Center by working safely to oversee electrical maintenance of all associated buildings and grounds. The Electronics Technician is also responsible for training ASRS (Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems) technicians on electrical systems within the distribution center and for supporting the design and implementation of plant projects.

Requirements

  • Dependability (ability to maintain an absenteeism rate under 3%)
  • Willingness to work OT and weekends as required.
  • Willingness to perform other duties as assigned.
  • High School Diploma/G.E.D. and/or technical schooling
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English at an intermediate level
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow complex troubleshooting instructions and identify parts from equipment manuals.
  • Must pass the Ramsey Electrical Test

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with motors, PLCs, controls and instrumentation, servos, electrical distribution, VFD’s, and valves.
  • 3 years maintenance experience

Responsibilities

  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices and maintain good housekeeping.
  • Follow the appropriate reaction plan for Food Safety, Food Quality, and customer requirement outages.
  • Follow safety guidelines, wear designated Personal Protective Equipment, and comply with Schreiber and OSHA safety requirements.
  • Review load schedules in the Hive to properly plan and complete work activities within department operation.
  • Ensure product specifications and delivery dates are met.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities based on needs identified by leadership.
  • Order parts (both electrical and mechanical) needed to maintain inventory and to complete repairs and preventative maintenance, keeping the parts MRO system updated and accurate.
  • Perform corrective, preventative, project, and emergency electrical and electronic maintenance on ASRS, support, and utility systems.
  • Perform modifications, component replacements, troubleshooting, calibration adjustments, and performance checks on equipment.
  • Support ASRS technician functions.
  • Perform PLC programming and maintenance.
  • Assure electrical equipment and installations meet all applicable requirements.
  • Complete projects as assigned including planning, purchasing of materials, modifications, and major overhauls of equipment.
  • Monitor critical equipment as outlined in maintenance procedures.
  • Assist other maintenance and material handling team members as assigned.
