Cat Technology is seeking a proactive, data driven professional to join a predictive, always-one-step-ahead team focused on identifying and resolving issues before they arise. In this role, the individual will transform product data into actionable insights that support new product development, continuous product improvement, productivity enhancements, and condition monitoring. The position requires strong collaboration across multiple stakeholders, from initial issue detection to customer engagement, to working alongside product groups to ensure high quality solutions and an exceptional customer experience.

Requirements

Knowledge of a specific domain, its current trends, directions, and regulatory considerations; ability to apply domain-specific knowledge to relevant situations.
Knowledge of the concepts, methodologies, and activities in technical analysis; ability to forecast the direction of technical landscape using technical indicators and take collective actions.
Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems. and inconsistencies in available information; explains variances.
Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Knowledge of software development tools and activities; ability to produce software products or systems in line with product requirements.
Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.

Possesses working knowledge of Caterpillar machinery and its safe, effective operation.
A degree in accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science Curriculum.
Experience with Matlab/Simulink and Python.

Responsibilities

Gathering and analyzing client/project requirements to understand needs.
Finding/collecting product and supporting data required for client requests/projects
Analysis of data or development of algorithms using different tools/methods available to provide insights to client or objective of project
Presentation/Communication/Visualization of results and collaborate with client/project lead to ensure requirements have been met
